Still, think that for someone to lose 40 pounds of weight in 2 months is impossible? Well, wait till you hear this majestic story from a close friend of mine Sheila.
“Just like other weight loss stories, I too was so confused and everything that I tried just didn’t deliver anything that it promised.
I got scammed a couple of times and that is not even the worst part. The most irritating part was that I blamed myself for not achieving the results they promised.
I felt like I was doing something wrong but in reality, I was just denying the fact that I was had!
I said to myself that I’m done spending money to help my case. Let me try something new which is to search for a blog that does not promote any weight loss product and just try their free stuff.
Then stumble across Justtakecontrol.com
This blog was full of free content that was promising weight loss results that blew my mind. Some of their posts were a little bit too good to be true.
That made me skeptical but I figured maybe they were just trying to gain the attention of visitors like myself.
I said to myself, if they try to sell something to me, I’m OUT!
So after reading a couple of their posts, there were some posts that got my eye and I got hooked.
I decided to create a weight loss challenge for myself and this is how it went!
(Spoilers) My goal was to lose at least 10 pounds of weight I had no idea that I was going to lose 40 pounds of weight in the end.
Step1: First Did My Detox
The post that got me hooked to this blog is the one about the pineapple detox drink. Yeah, I know it’s weird but we sometimes experience weird things in life.
And as I was reading that post and learning about detoxification and how pineapple could detoxify my liver I had an idea.
I searched for the keyword “detox” on the search bar and I found something interesting. I stumbled upon sugar detox.
As I read that post, I realized that my weight gain was caused by what I drank and ate and it had nothing to do with my workout.
I then decided to follow this sugar detox and use it for 7 days straight while doing a liver detox on the side.
I knew that if I had to make this work, I must remove every ounce of toxin from my body. This meant that even the food that I eat has to change.
Step 2: Changed The Eating Routine And Food
“I went to the search bar on the blog again and just typed “diet”. That’s when I saw some blog posts about diet plans but the one that caught my eye was the one about cucumber diet.”
The Cucumber Diet Plan
“The reason I chose the cucumber diet plan is that I really love cucumbers, I just didn’t know how to use them to lose weight.
The other thing that makes cucumbers stand out is the health benefits that they come with. Then I said to myself that I need to make this work for myself.
It’s a 7-day meal plan but I knew that in order to see significant results, I had to take it a step further and make it a 14-day meal plan.”
The Challenge Was Not Easy
“I know I said that I love cucumber but going for this diet for a straight 14 day period was something else.
After 3 days, I felt like giving up but then I remembered that I had to do this now because even if I did stop, I would feel way worse for failing compared to hanging on to my challenge.
I said to myself, “this too shall pass”.
And as time went on, I had other food temptations in my fridge, and guess what I did…
I went back to the blog and reached out to the owner and asked “what type of food can I eat while on the cucumber diet?”
He then kindly replied and also gave me a link to this post!”
The Food I had to Avoid
“I knew that I had to make sure that I never give in to the urge to eat certain foods no matter what.
That is because I knew that at some point I was going to feel like giving up because I’m human and it’s not that easy to change habits.
This made me acknowledge that it was inevitable and I had to make sure to avoid certain foods.” This is the list of the foods that she crossed off her grocery.
The list is small, so I had to improvise a bit and crossed off all of the foods that I felt they contributed to my weight gain.”
Step 3: The Workout Routine
“We all know that at some point if we want to stay healthy, we need to get active and that’s exactly what went in my mind”
Since I’m not the type of person who is that active, these exercises were a little hard for me but as time went on, I got used to it.
These are the workout I started out with. They sound easy enough and that’s because they are.
After trying them out, I felt energized and felt like my younger self.
This was the final nail to the coffin to lose 40 pounds”
Finally, My Backup Plan
“My last resort for not being able to keep up with my challenge, I said to myself that I have to at least use this weight loss guide for my weight loss journey.
I mean, losing weight without a paid program is something that I had to do because I didn’t have any money.
Getting quality content online for free is hard and if you find it, you need to take action and make the best of it.
I am proud to say that I managed to lose 40 pounds in 2 months using this blog’s free information even though my plan was to lose 10 pounds in 2 months.
And I’m still using some of these tips to keep my weight in check.
And that’s my story!”
